Regardless of your party preference, or even if you tend to be politically disinterested, please take the time to vote this year.
I can say that I tend to be apathetic towards federal politics normally. This year seems different. I am not sure exactly why, but I am more aware of the feeling of change. I feel , like Canada, a change seems to be blowing in the wind – building strength; coming soon in a way of announcing a change in life.
We live in an ever changing world that only seems to speed up with each passing year. To me, I believe that people in primary power positions should have a maximum 2 term stay. Prime Minister, Premier, Mayor. It’s such a balancing act ; stability versus constant change. Finding the right balance is the key that is difficult to measure successfully.
As a small business person, and a lifelong Canadian, I too am looking for balance. Our provincial election threw things at that level into turmoil in the short-term. Many indications are showing negative reaction will continue on that front for some time to come. But, as I always say, there is always good with the bad – and bad with the good.
Much of the negative regarding the province is a result of uncertainty, but we don’t know if it really is going to be negative yet. Much of the problem is out of our control. World influence ; world issues. We have much perceived negativity around us. This election has stirred up much that may be real or imagined.
What we can do that is within our control is vote. So take a few moments out of your day, and cast your ballot. May we find the right balance for here and now.
